CLUBSPOT COUNCILSPOT

HELLO ALL
Greetings, Ni hao, an yong, mushi mosh!

School has restarted and things are already going strong! Mee and I have decided to start our own club! Therefore.... *drum roll* FEED ME YELLOW will be a home base for all club activities involving AC, Animation club aka ALTERNATIVE COUNCIL
We will be ultimately trying to compete (however hard) with the student council, subtlety making our appearance at events, but making big impact through videos!
Our goal is to actually pull through with the Film Festival this year...
Also we realize that if we are to stand any chance against the student council, we must somehow match there "fun" level with events on par with dances, spirit weeks, and ...the SEMI FORMAL!
Since we cannot actually host a whole event that big for us, my idea is just to take over CHINESE NEW YEAR BANQUET! 2 weeks after semi! How convenient right??
Also, the long term goal (in my mind) is to create a mock council so strong that one day in the future, the legit Student Council will be faced with a competitor that will ultimately make the school greater in spirit, events, and motivation for involvement and success!
So that is my spiel on ALTERNATIVE COUNCIL at the moment!
Wish us best of luck as Mee writes up the proposal and keep in mind that this is our *cough* real proposal and summary for the group. Any ideas on how we may better our club, council, and school, please post!!! Club fair is beginning of October so till then that's all the news for now!

Oh, Jolly Yellow Day

Ever had those days where its SOO eventful that when you get home you’re too tired to do anything? Where you feel like you’re not just another bored kid doing random things to kill summer time, but really are a cool diverse teen who’s living the life? WELL, how about a mix of both?! Tuesday July 28, 2009 The last day of summer school and first real taste of summer freedom! What time is it? SUMMER TIME! It’s our vacation! (8) Eventful AND completely random! But not to kill time…but because we have a lot of purpose in our lives. So the shortened schedule went:

Wake up and hairdresser for a cut and style (Regular routine every few months YOU KNOWW?) HAIRDRESSER CLOSED sign says: “Closed July 27 – August 4 Sorry for any inconvenience” Me—SHIT I missed them by ONE DAY because I was too lazy to go in the day before! A perfect example of the bad luck dished out to me on a daily basis…FAIL Go home go back to sleep and go to school 1230-2 for final marks etc. MARKS make the day BETTER! (They always do when theyre high right?) ISU Culminating; ALL in the 90’s! BOMBTASTIC Go to GSQUARE and HAIR INN for discounted family haircut

HAIRCUT FAILS … makes me feel worse about hair and urges me to go on with my plan for…A BLONDE WIG At the gsquare wig shop, the weave is $25 but real wigs are $60 FML. Go to MEE’s We eat SHRIMP WONTON which was good besides the fact I DON’T LIKE SHRIMP Note: NOT ALL ASIANS LIKE SEAFOOD(: EXPERIMENT with Mee’s PRO SLR doing naughty things … JK we learn ANOTHER KOREAN DANCE which you will see soon! We MISSION picking up and dropping off stuff like a Fedex messenger, making a phone keychain look like GARBAGE so NOAH ING can pick it up off the street without other people taking it. To MALABAR’s costume shop to get a “cheap” wig… N Note: WIGS GET MAD SWEATY

YMCA HULA DANCE CLASS, and of course the naked sagsters women of change rooms. Some working out, stretching, cardio… and VIOLA minus 70 calories (Half a can of Arizona) *Random act of kindness: look out for this interesting charity video Return to Mee’s Eat a dinner of SALAD and garlic bread! Yes! Workout mission effective accomplished FINALLY, Mee agrees to be my model head to wear the wig while I cut it Minus 5 INCHES BLONDE EXPENSIVE SYNTHETIC WIG HAIR Cut by me, who has NEVER EVER cut hair before… smart, I know. Drive home happily and asian and ever and after

You guys might ask, what’s the blonde wig for? WELL readers! Many things! Many, many, many things! Besides what CAN’T you do with yellow hair?! EXACTLY that’s what I said! STAY TUNEDD

Holla !! - Mimi

Heyheyhey, first blog of the dey. I am so cool because I rhymedool.
So after working out at the YMCA and roaming Spadina ave. with my asian friends I realize how fortunate it is for me to know Vietnamese as a second language. Going into Nguyen Huong, it was nice to be tha creepy teenage girl eavesdropping on the vietnamese folk in the facility.

"Mommy can we buy this?"
"No, last time I had diarrhea from it."

Hehehe, what a beautiful language translated into something sooo "profound".

If you know chinese or asian or w/e as a second language or you happen to know a 3rd language then you probably know how much you feel like you belong. As if you want to join in on the conversation. So let this first blog post be a huge welcome to you all! Embrace your inner immigrancy aaaand lets feed you yellow.

HOLLA!

HOLLA TO MY FOLKS OUT THERE - Mimi
